Today we are going to introduce the Kodi add-on Planet MMA and tell you exactly how to install it for your viewing pleasure!

The importance of a VPN

It is important to install a VPN service before you start using Kodi. VPN software generates an encrypted link between the server and your streaming device. The main reason for this is to hide your browsing activity from your Internet Service Providers (ISP) who will not know what you are transmitting over the network. For Americans who are streaming with Kodi, it is more of a necessity than a luxury due to the enforcement of net neutrality laws.

ISPs are now allowed to monitor user browsing and restrict access to any websites they wish. When ISPs notice that you are using the network for streaming, they are likely to throttle your connection and slow down the speed. Slow transfer speeds are a real pain when you are trying to stream a live game, so a VPN is necessary.

Additionally, sports fans are familiar with blackouts such as those in the NFL. The blackouts are geographically based and users in the area are unable to watch some content. Mostly, this happens because of viewership rights being granted to one or two broadcasting stations. The broadcasters block access in a county, state, region or country.

A VPN will mask your IP address so that it seems as if you are browsing from another country. If the selected country doesn’t have the same restriction, you can access the blocked content with ease.

Installing Planet MMA add-on on Kodi

Once you’ve got your VPN setup, the next step is installing the add-on.

Kodi does not officially support the Planet MMA add-on so you have to OPEN the SECURITY and check the UNKNOWN SOURCES checkbox to be able to install it.
From your main Kodi home screen, click on the GEAR ICON to open a context menu. Select FILE MANAGER > ADD SOURCE.
Select the first option named <NONE>. When prompted to enter a path for the media locations, type in this URL: http://supremacy.org.uk/zip/repo/ and click DONE. Name it something memorable like SUPREMACY and click OK.
Go back to the Home screen and navigate to the ADD-ONS MENU > INSTALL FROM ZIP. Open the file you named SUPREMACY and choose repository.supremacy-x.x and click the zip file inside. Wait for add-on installed message.
Click on INSTALL FROM REPOSITORY > SUPREMACY> VIDEO ADD-ONS > PLANET MMA > INSTALL.
