Like all the other Kodi add-ons, Vortex doesn’t provide or host any content. It is simply a search engine that pulls all the available information for you so that you can access the streams easier. It stands out as one of the most popular Kodi add-ons today as it has a good mix of content from live TV to sports, movies and more. You should definitely get a VPN in place before you install Vortex as while Kodi is 100% legal, some of the streams you might access with Vortex are not.
Actually, lets discuss VPNs a bit before I walk you through the installation of Vortex. VPNs protect you from monitoring as they encrypt your connection. That means no-one is able to see what you are streaming, not even your ISP. Another huge advantage to VPNs is their ability to bypass geographic content restrictions. When you connect with a VPN, you are able to mask your IP address and make it appear as if you are in another part of the world!
The VPN we always recommend is Shellfire VPN. This VPN has fast servers all over the world and is one of the best in the market. In addition to the standard VPN software, Shellfire VPN also offers the Shellfire Box. This standalone device lets you setup a VPN that every single device in your home (including your Smart TV) can use. It’s really good and it’s super easy to use also. Check out the offer on Amazon – it comes with a year’s free service so it’s a really good deal!
